Sugru attracted my interest because it falls into the category of things I often get my husband for Christmas. A little bit offbeat, innovative, and purportedly beneficial for accomplishing around-the-house chores. It looked like an open-ended tool that could fix a variety of problems, and then I forgot about it.
When I saw these pictures of actual uses last week, I thought this product, out of the UK, that you stick and shape to make rubber in whatever form you need, looked even a lot more compelling.
Here are a few ideas for ways to use Sugru in a child’s bedroom:
Wall hooks constructed out of plastic animals
Attach animals with Sugru moldable glue and then hang bags and hats.
Inside the closet door mounting for flat things
I would make lots of hooks for hair ties inside the cupboard doors of my daughter’s bureau.
Repairs for broken plastic or wire
Like that doll stroller leg that is making me crazy
Outside the bedroom, having a place to keep a tablet when not using it
(Sorry kid, we don’t keep tablets in bedrooms.)
