Don’t overthink it. We’ve gone on the record as stating that two-year old birthday celebrations are the ones you can just skip. A two-year old doesn’t understand or care about such matters, so spare yourself the headaches of herding the kitties as well as take a few shortcuts when believing about 2nd birthday celebrations in general.
My huge caveat is when there are older siblings around since you don’t want them to believe that the bit one’s birthday doesn’t count.
For Sawyer’s second birthday, we invited his finest sweetheart for an trip to the heavy steam trains, a regional attraction for bit kids. By the time you element in our other two sons, both sets of parents, as well as the guest of honor, it was starting to look like a genuine party.
